Are you currently studying at a UK partner institution? You may wish to study with us at our main campuses to finish your programme of study or complete a higher qualification.

Every year, numerous students from our partner institutions decide to top up their qualifications to an undergraduate level or pursue postgraduate studies with us. You could be one of them.

The awarding body and assessment regulations are the same both here and at our partner institutions. You might also know the staff on your top-up course.Confidence

How to apply
View our available top-up courses by checking out the partner student undergraduate top up guide. Here you can search for your current course and view the top-up options linked to your Foundation Degree, HND/HNC, or Dip HE.
If there is a route which isn’t listed, or you have any questions, please email our Partnership Enquiries Team.
Complete the form electronically. You can make up to three choices in order of your preference.
Please submit your application as soon as possible before the end of the academic year. Please note, if you are moving on in your partner institution, a different form may be used.
A letter or email will be sent to inform you of the University’s decision and to update you on the terms and conditions. An offer will only be made on one of your three choices.
Please note, the University will not acknowledge receipt of your moving on application form, but you may contact us to check the progress of it.
You will need to accept your offer of a place with the University.
If you've accepted your place on the course, we will write to you once we have confirmed your final results.
Once we have confirmed your final results, and you are happy with your decision, you can enrol with us.
Automatic offers
Students enrolled in programs without a direct top-up route at the Partner institution will receive an automatic offer to advance their qualification to the undergraduate level with us. This offer will be sent around December via email or post, depending on your communication preferences, and will propose the most relevant top-up course related to your field of study. However, if you prefer a different course, this can easily be changed.
For certain courses there are direct offer routes available. If this is applicable you will receive notification from us.
A small number of courses require a UCAS application. In these rare cases, please visit the UCAS website.
Bursaries and discounts for returning Partner students
UK Partner students who wish to progress from a level 5 qualification at a UCLan UK partner to a level 6 qualification at a UCLan campus will be eligible for a £250 Partnership Progression Travel Bursary. This bursary will be available from September 2025. For more information including eligibility and how to apply, please visit our scholarships and bursaries page.
Our award holders studying a postgraduate taught course or postgraduate research degree (full or part-time) may be eligible for a 20% tuition fee discount if paying a standard or higher tuition fee. Please note that this discount is for postgraduate courses run at UCLan Campuses. This excludes courses run at our Partner Colleges/Institutions. Please note that some top up routes may be subject to conditions, such as a minimum mark on your current course. Please see the programme specification or speak to your tutor for further information. Courses listed in the top up guide may run full-time, part-time or both. Please check with the relevant course page or partner intuition for the mode of study.
Some top up options will need an audition, interview, or portfolio. Some courses might also be subject to GCSE requirements, requirements from regulatory bodies, occupational health check and DBS check. If you are moving on to a partner institution it is vital you check their website for any specific requirements.
