We are playing our part as a key Lancashire employer to boost the regional workforce by investing in our own colleagues and encouraging opportunities for all.

There are a range of paid ad-hoc working opportunities at the University, for example you could work as a Student Ambassador, Guest Lecturer or Invigilator.

These opportunities are short-term, one-off or infrequent activities and are advertised / arranged by Academic and Professional Services as and when required.

If you are interested in ad-hoc work, you need to complete the following steps:

  1. Visit dashboard to register your details.

  2. Visit our Human Resources Team at The Ironworks - Greenbank Street, Preston, to complete a right to work check.

  3. You will receive a notification when your account has been verified and you will then be able to express an interest in ad-hoc working opportunities.
  4. Following completion of any ad hoc work for UCLan, you will need to complete the Ad Hoc Worker Personal Details Statement and submit it to Payroll.
