Why study with UCLan?
We are the perfect destination if you’re looking for a world-class education and an unforgettable student experience. We have risen 30 places in The Sunday Times Good University Guide2020, making us the second highest riser in the UK. This follows on from being the biggest riser in the Complete University Guide 2020, and The Guardian’s 2020 University Guide highlighting our improvement in career prospects.
UCLan’s Language Academy runs a range of Pre-Sessional English programmes for students who need to improve their language skills in order to meet the University’s English language entry requirements. Taught by UCLan teachers on the Preston campus, and accredited by the British Council, the Pre-Sessional provides an excellent pathway for students. Students study on the programme for between six and thirty weeks depending on their language level and, on passing the Pre-Sessional at the required grade, can proceed on to their chosen undergraduate or postgraduate course.
