Frequently asked questions about Clearing

Clearing is for applicants who've received their exam results but don't yet have a confirmed place. The Clearing process helps match applicants to university places that haven't been filled.

Find out more about how Clearing works.

Adjustment is no longer available from 2022. If your grades are better than what you expected and you want to change universities, you can release yourself into Clearing. You can do this by using the 'decline your place' button in your UCAS application. You're able to do this from 5 July if you are holding a firm unconditional place.

For specific information on Adjustment, visit the UCAS website.

Entry requirements for courses during Clearing can vary. We offer a variety of routes into university study including Foundation Entry courses, we encourage you to call us to explore your options.

If you already have your qualifications, you can view our UCAS Points Calculator to work out how many UCAS points you have. If you don't quite meet the UCAS points for your course, don't worry as there are many different options available to you.

The deadline for international students for September 2023 entry is 31 May 2023.
