Sports Coaching and Leadership
Let's lead others to more than new places. Let's lead them to new experiences.
Our Sport Coaching and Leadership courses have been carefully created to ensure you'll leave our University with in-depth subject expertise and highly developed transferable skills which are valued by employers in the world of sport.
Our focus is centred on you developing evidence-based knowledge, experience and person-centred values. Our courses are accredited by leading professional bodies including Association for Physical Education, CIMSPA, Institute for Outdoor Learning and UK Coaching. You'll have the opportunity to gain work placements across the globe including Europe, China and the United States. Many of our graduates have left the University to start careers at some of the biggest names in professional sport. All our students based at the Preston Main Campus are entitled to a FREE Sports Membership as part of their tuition fees. This gives you access to Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre, the Sports Arena and activities delivered by University sports staff including exercise classes and fitness suite instruction.

Future careers and opportunities
Graduates from our Sport Coaching and Leadership programmes have gone on to a wide range of different careers. Our alumni have been employed by a large number of professional football teams, both in the UK and abroad, including one who was Performance Analyst for a team at the FIFA World Cup.
