Entry requirements
An undergraduate degree in a relevant field at 2:1
Must be Doctor qualified with General Medical Council (GMC), Or:
- Chartered Physiotherapist with The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) & Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Sports Therapist with The Society of Sports Therapists (MSST)
- Sports Rehabilitator with The British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRAT)
Each applicant will be considered on merit including experiential learning and evidence of working within the football industry.
- Applicants admitted onto the course will meet the following requirements
- Must hold a relevant qualification or professional qualification in an associated field. For example, professions include General Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Sports Therapists, Sports Rehabilitators or any other profession in sport deemed suitable on application
- Be actively engaged in or access football experience in a Sports and Exercise Medicine context to support learning within the programme
- Have sufficient competency in English language (IELTS Level 7 or equivalent)
- All applicants must meet the relevant criteria through application. Students who are not currently working within the football industry need to provide evidence of access to a football club to support their studies and enhance potential career progression
- Applicants who believe they may be eligible for Accreditation of Prior Experience/Learning (APE/L) for certain modules will be considered on an individual basis, up to 40 credits or equivalent

International students additional entry criteria
To be considered for admission to this programme you should normally meet or exceed the following criteria:
- Applicants should hold a 2:2 degree or equivalent professional experience or learning in a related field.
- One academic/professional reference on an official letter headed paper, dated, duly signed, and stamped
- A satisfactory personal statement
- English language
- If English is not your first language, you'll need to provide evidence of English language such as IELTS (or equivalent) 6.5 (and 6.0 in each component).
We offer a test of English language equivalent through our Language Academy. You will need 75% overall with no component under 65%. Please visit English language entry requirements. Documents that are not in English must have an official English translation
