In a constantly changing global business environment, multi-national organisations are seeking graduates who have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of how businesses operate in the global arena.

This course opens the doorway to a wide variety of business roles. A career as an international business specialist in multinational consultancy firms. You could be working in international financial institutions, recruitment agencies and many more.

You’ll develop all the skills to undertake business activities beyond national boundaries. You will also develop your cultural intelligence and global citizenship. You will be able to apply the theories of the multinational to real-world scenarios. You can shape your studies to suit your career aspirations by studying optional modules. Choose from data analytics, digital marketing, people or project management and more. You will also have the opportunity to learn a foreign language, in addition to your degree, a great asset to your CV.

Following the pandemic, we have found that some courses benefit from a blended learning and teaching approach. Therefore, the majority of your teaching will be face-to-face on campus, with some online teaching where we have learnt it works best.

Throughout this course, you’ll attend a mixture of lectures, seminars and practical workshops as well as carry out independent study and research. To prepare you for the business world, much of the learning is through the use of seminar case studies and presentations.

We’ll assess your progress through essays, reports, oral presentations, blogs and/or digital magazines. Such assessments are conducted on an individual as well as a group level. Exams, where appropriate, will account for no more than 50% of your final mark.

You have the option of gaining vital work experience by undertaking a paid placement in the industry for 48 weeks.

In your final year, you’ll have the opportunity to undertake an independent business and management project in which you will be paired with a local business working on a real-world business issue.

We have strong links with leading local and national businesses. You’ll get the chance to work on business projects with real clients to solve issues or capitalise on opportunities. We also host guest speaker events which are organised in conjunction with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

The companies we work with offer internships, placements, live projects and mentors to provide you with excellent practical experience. We also offer you the chance to take on additional modules, as electives, to gain an extra professional body qualification.
