UCLan Burnley is home to a diverse community of students from around the world studying on our growing range of undergraduate, postgraduate taught, postgraduate research and degree apprenticeship courses.
The perfect place to study
Our Burnley Campus features bright, spacious buildings and cutting-edge facilities. We’re situated across two sites: Princess Way (shared with Burnley College) and Victoria Mill, an iconic grade II listed building located in the historic Weavers' Triangle area. It's a compact, friendly campus where you'll benefit from small class sizes and a high level of support - you'll really get to know your tutors and the other students on your course.
We offer a wide range courses in Accounting and Finance, Care and Community, Business and Management, Medicine, Midwifery, Nursing, Psychology, Policing, Health Professions, Social Work, and Sports Coaching and Leadership.
A big advantage of studying at Burnley is the focused academic timetable. Most courses are taught over 2 or 2.5 days per week, leaving you with lots of free time for independent study, childcare or part-time work.
In 2020, Sandygate Hall opened offering high-quality student accommodation for students studying at UCLan Burnley. Sandygate has 136 en-suite bedrooms, within 29 flats and student hub social areas, which feature flexible working space with comfortable seating and a flat screen TV.Find out more

Our Student Services Team are there to help you with every aspect of University life, including accommodation, financial matters, council tax exemption forms and letter requests, personal wellbeing and much more. We also have a Course Administration Service (CAS) Hub on site to assist you with anything related to your course.
As well as our impressive classrooms, laboratories and computer suites, the Library offers a relaxing space with comfortable study areas and access to thousands of books and online resources. Depending on which course you choose, you’ll also get to make use of our state-of-the-art manufacturing suite, recording studio and moot courtroom.
In your free time you'll never be short of something to do. There’s a Students’ Union hub on campus to help you get the most out of the opportunities they offer – from clubs and societies to social activities, course representation and much more. You can also take advantage of free membership at Burnley Leisure Centre, giving you access to a fantastic fitness suite, swimming pool and a programme of fitness classes all year round.
