Cyprus Campus

Our overseas campus in Cyprus offers you the perfect combination of study and sunshine. Enjoy a sun-kissed Mediterranean lifestyle and a truly international student experience.

In 2012 we were proud to become the first British university to open an overseas campus in Cyprus. We’re located in Larnaka, on the southern coast of the island, where you’ll get to enjoy an impressive blend of modern facilities, an outdoor lifestyle and historic culture.

When you study with us in Cyprus you’ll graduate with a Double Degree (two certificates) – one from the University of Central Lancashire in the UK and one from the University of Central Lancashire in Cyprus.

On campus you’ll benefit from state-of-the-art lecture theatres equipped with the very latest audiovisual facilities, including tech for video conferencing and delivering presentations. You’ll also love our library, computing facilities and study zones, with Wi-Fi available in all areas.

Our teaching and research facilities are second-to-none. Our Sports Lab incorporates the latest technological advances in the fields of sports science, including testing and metrics equipment for use with athletes of all abilities, from beginner to professional level, including ergonomic tests overseen by accredited sport and exercise scientists.

We want our students and graduates to become innovators. Our Electronic Engineering Lab features cutting-edge equipment, computers and machinery, giving you hands-on experience in design, simulation, prototyping and testing.

We also have outstanding Psychology laboratories, including a Cognition and Development Lab and child observation suite, enabling students to carry out psychological experiments and network with industry professionals.

We are the first university in Cyprus to have our own moot courtroom, which is used to train the next generation of law professionals. It has been designed to reproduce not only the appearance and activities of a real courtroom, but also the courtrooms of the future, with counsel and judges able to portray their evidence, representations and remarks onto large projection screens.

That’s not all. If you choose to live in our student accommodation, you’ll have access to an outdoor swimming pool!

How to find us

If you are visiting the University campus in Pyla by car you should travel on the A3 towards Ayia Napa/ Paralimni and exit at either the first (Exit 5) or second exit (Exit 6) which directs you to Pyla. Once you exit you will see signs every 500m directing you towards the University Campus.

If you would like to share a ride with other Cyprus students that live in the same area or town as you please join the Cyprus Students Car Pooling Service.

This will help you save petrol, it will decrease auto emissions and you will make new friends! You are travelling ‘greener’ by reducing pollution but also cutting on your weekly costs.

Bus services are available from and to our Cyprus Campus every 30 to 60 minutes (depending on the time of day). It is compulsory to present your university Cyprus Student I.D. card in order to be granted this discount. Please find the bus route and the bus schedule in the links below.

Please note that the bus stop referred to as ‘UCLan Campus’ is University accommodation and the stop named ‘Pyla UCLan’ is the University bus stop which is located at the bottom of University Avenue (by the Sports Centre). Moreover, as the route at some point is circular, please keep in mind that when you are travelling from the University to Larnaka you should look at the second time the bus passes by ‘Pyla UCLan’ (e.g. 11:35a.m. and not 11:20a.m.).

For more information from the local bus service providers in Larnaka please visit their website. Information on student bus tickets can be found on the following website.

The Intercity Buses are available from various stations in Larnaka however the most convenient bus stop used by students travelling with the Intercity Buses from Nicosia and Limassol is the one located on the Finikoudes sea front.

Students using the Intercity Bus Service must provide Student Support with their name and University I.D. Card Number so that the Company can provide them with their own bus card.
