IKSU Buddy Experience by Adam Gareth Rowe (TESOL with Korean, 2018/19 Semester 1 buddy)

Through the buddy scheme at UCLan IKSU, I was able to spend time and make friends with various Korean students coming over here to study.  It was a great opportunity to practice my Korean but alongside this, it was fun just to socialise with them whilst helping them settle into university life here. I was happy to show them around Preston and help them out with things as needed, and we became close friends by the end of it. Overall it was a great experience that improved my university life, and I look forward to meeting those friends again when I go to Korea as part of the study abroad programme.
