Training and Development
We work in partnership with businesses and organisations from all sectors to develop and deliver tailored training programmes. We also offer high quality university courses and professional qualifications to individuals looking to develop their career.
Working in conjunction with you we deliver courses reflecting industry needs. Courses are flexible and delivered by professional practitioners able to share the latest knowledge and thinking in their area of expertise. We are dynamic in our approach to ensuring our courses and qualifications continue to reflect the changing needs of employers and market demands.
As the demand for high level skills increases across a wide range of industry sectors, having access to a skilled workforce is increasingly important to the growth and resilience of local economies. We work with several of these industry sectors to develop skills in these areas including construction, engineering, aerospace, healthcare, IT, technology and digital.
We provide short courses and CPD options with training for professionals wishing to gain specialist knowledge and skills in a particular area.
Over recent years, automated intelligence, skills shortages, economic uncertainty and the cost of university education have created the perfect environment for degree apprenticeships to thrive. The apprenticeship combines studying for a high-quality degree, with the attainment of key vocational skills, all while earning a salary from day one with tuition fees covered by the employer and Government.
Our Degree Apprenticeship teams work with you to identify ways to maximise the use of the apprentice levy for businesses and create tailored programmes with the right balance of development, on the job experience, practical skills, knowledge, professional accreditation and academic qualifications.
Our apprenticeships are a collaboration between the University of Central Lancashire, the employer and the learner enabling employees to develop advanced skills in the workplace
