UCLan's women's basketball club aspires to create an environment that delivers professionally delivered high-level basketball training, providing our student athletes with the opportunity to achieve their personal goals (athletically and academically) as well as granting opportunities within the sport of basketball at both amateur and professional club levels, while at the same time obtaining a degree from a top university.

The University offers a tailored training plan for each individual player focusing on technical skill development and player IQ (Team and Individual). Team members can benefit from individual technical/skill sessions combined with group training sessions and regular video analysis (both individual and team). This is a complete support package to help support and attract committed basketball players.

The women’s basketball programme is working to establish a partnership with the Lancashire Spinners (Women’s National League) and Manchester Mystics (Women’s National League and WBBL) as an opportunity for additional training and competition in National League tier 2 and WBBL.
