UCLan sport and wellbeing

Here at the University of Central Lancashire we are passionate about sport and wellbeing. Whether you're looking to start a sports-related degree programme or simply looking for a uni with great facilities, activities and clubs to join during your time studying, we have something for everyone to get involved in.

We have a range of excellent sports facilities including our Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre, and a short distance from our Preston Campus, our Sports Arena. Meanwhile, if you're based at our Burnley Campus, you can also make use of local facilities that we have partnered with so you can keep fit wherever you happen to be studying.

As well as having access to great facilities at The University of Central Lancashire, Preston is also home to a number of parks and green spaces, and so is Burnley, if you wanted to explore the natural world around you.

Alongside your studies you'll also have the option of completing National Governing Body Awards, volunteering with local sports clubs and community groups, and accessing a wide range of opportunities to enhance your personal and professional skills.

If your sport of choice isn't currently represented, then you can even take the lead and start your own club. The Students' Union can help support you every step of the way. Just want to try something out? Give It A Go activities run throughout the year, giving students the chance to try sports and societies without commitment.
