"The teaching on the BSc Mathematics programme is very interactive. Lecturers ask us questions during classes which helps us learn about various subjects. We are taught how to use mathematical concepts in real-world scenarios, which brings traditional mathematical concepts to life. We also have access to whiteboards which allow us to share our ideas and thoughts with other students in class.
"My lecturers always give constructive feedback on my work, and this helps me understand the concepts which I learn about. The academic staff are incredibly passionate about mathematics, and I am extremely grateful for their enthusiasm.

"Preston is a beautiful city and I love living here. It’s a quiet city with lots of parks and clean air. My accommodation is in the centre and there are lots of supermarkets close by which is convenient. I am also close to Preston train station, so it’s easy to visit other parts of the country. Usually, when I am not studying, I go out with friends. I have been to Blackpool, Manchester, Liverpool, and Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. I love exploring new places in my spare time.
"What I like about my accommodation is the security. I always feel completely safe and there are staff working 24-hours if we ever have any concerns or questions.
"I have been impressed with the facilities at UCLan. For example, the library and IT services are excellent and make it easy to study and learn. I also like the gym which is great for fitness, and it doesn’t cost to become a member.
"I would definitely recommend UCLan to other international students."
