- You can take work placements each year. This can be in settings such as a nursery, primary or secondary schools, or in further education.
- We offer a semester-long placement in each year of study. You'll gain valuable experience immersed in educational settings to better understand the daily realities and dynamics of being in a classroom.
- Our programmes offer you the chance to pursue particular areas of interest and develop specialisms in areas such as inclusion and special needs.
What you'll do
- Combining English with Education offers routes into teacher training. Also, into non-teaching professional careers or postgraduate research.
- You can combine your study of Education with English Literature and/or English Language and incorporate modules in creative writing.
- You'll spend time on placements, working alongside other professionals. This will be highly valued by potential future employers.
