World Social Work Day 2016

The 15th of March is a widely celebrated day amongst all social workers; The World Social Work Day creates an opportunity for the workers to express international solidarity and to bring common messages to our communities.

To celebrate this year, the School of Social Work Care and Community organised an event involving games, workshops and talks from international guests and speakers. This event was to promote the school, as well as to celebrate the various aspects of social work from around the world. The event was highly successful, workshops were filled to the maximum with enthusiastic students and friends. Speakers from Germany, Denmark, China and Bulgaria attended the event, and discussed various topics ranging from the refugee crisis in Germany and Denmark and the Roma community in Bulgaria, with many more topics covered during the event.
