Amsterdam Adventure for Design Students

Design Students in Amsterdam

In March this year, second year students from Graphic Design, Illustration, Advertising, Product Design, Interior Design and Textiles embarked on an inspirational visit to Amsterdam to support their Design: Culture and Society studies.

The trip included visits to design museums, galleries and shops, which allowed students to explore foreign culture and creativity. Course groups also visited top design agencies Design Bridge, DDB Advertising and Petra Blaisse Studio, where they listened to valuable talks by industry professionals and were given practical advice on portfolios and placements.

"As graphic design students we were given the opportunity to visit Designbridge and see behind the scenes their creative process and the projects they'd currently been working on. We also got to visit many of the museums and soak up a lot of the city's history and culture. We definitely all left on a creative high."

"Our trip to Amsterdam was an invaluable experience. Not just for organised visits which gained and extended our industry links, but also for enjoyable segments of free time which gave us a relaxed introduction to a whole new city and culture."
