Pioneering paramedic receives UCLan Honorary Fellowship

Six highly-acclaimed professionals received UCLan Honorary Fellowships at the December 2013 graduation, including pioneering paramedic Adrian Conboy.

Adrian received his award in acknowledgement of his significant contribution to paramedic practice. The proud Lancastrian’s career has spanned 39 years in the health care industry with 34 of those spent in the NHS Ambulance Service.

The pioneering paramedic was hugely instrumental in the creation of the service and the training of its people. He worked with UCLan in 2004 to develop the first ever BSc paramedic degree programme and later became an associate paramedic lecturer practitioner.
