Sports enthusiast Grace shares their student experience
Grace Iyanuoluwa Towobola, originally from Nigeria, joined UCLan as part of the MSc Sports Coaching programme. Read about Grace’s experience below:
"I have enjoyed every moment of studying the MSc Sports Coaching programme here at UCLan. I have had amazing interactions with course mates and teaching staff. Lecturers even supported me during the application process and have pointed me in the direction of amazing work placement opportunities.
"When I first arrived here in Preston, I noticed how quiet the city was in comparison to other places in the UK. There is a calm and friendly atmosphere about the place, and this really appealed to me. The weather initially took me by surprise as it was very windy, but I soon got used to it.

"During my studies, I have served as an official representative for international students, helping people from around the world make the most of their experience here and this has been really rewarding. Also, as a sports enthusiast, I have made the most of the free gym on campus and consider this a fantastic opportunity for students to help live healthy lifestyles.
My personal highlight has been coaching the University’s female football team which has been an incredible experience. This further shows that UCLan can develop your dreams and help you realise your potential."
