Our Electronic Engineering with Foundation Year degree will teach you the principles of electronic engineering. You'll gain the programming skills necessary for modern embedded system design.

Gain real work experience through industrial placements

You can take a one-year industrial placement during your studies to increase your employability. Most placements are UK-based, but opportunities exist for global placements.

What you'll do

  • Learn from our senior academic teaching staff. They’re Fellows of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and Chartered Engineers (CEng) with real-world industrial experience.
  • Our Engineering Innovation Centre enables you to work on real-world projects with commercial partners in state-of-the-art facilities.
  • Secure paid, real-world industrial experience working on ERDF funded commercial projects and through summer undergraduate internships.

Entry requirements

We will consider your educational achievements, predicted grades, work experience and personal statement. If you don't meet the grades for your chosen course, we will consider you for other programmes.

  • GCSEs: 5 at Grade C /4 including Maths and English or equivalent
