Our golf squad

We aim to operate three active teams in the BUCS Leagues comprising a squad of 28 players, and the additional squad members play as and when required - subject to academic work, performance in other events / tournaments, other personal commitments, injuries, illness, and general unavailability.

All the students on a our academic programmes are able to take advantage of coaching sessions every Tuesday from 8.30am - 5pm and if they can't make a specific day or time, the coaching staff are very accommodating in their approach and will offer another 'slot' at a time convenient to both parties.

Collegiate Tour

Until the introduction of the "Collegiate Golf Tour" in September 2001, competition for the young golfer at the College / University was on an "ad hoc" basis with little to no structure and a competition-to-competition agenda. For the student, competitions were based on a single 'one-off' round which does not allow the golfer to hone his or her psychological skills or produce consistency, fundamental in good performance over tournament conditions.
