Learning outcomes and aims
On completion of this module, you'll be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the scientific, environmental and socio-political issues surrounding the decommissioning of nuclear facilities.
- Understand and critically evaluate the overall environmental principles applicable to plant decommissioning and storage of nuclear waste.

Following the week of teaching, you'll complete an assignment based on the module covered. You'll undertake your assignment at your place of work or at home. The assignment requires approximately 70 hours of input, it will be assessed and marked. We will expect you to submit your assignment about 8 weeks after the teaching week.
If you're required to complete a module exam, this will occur some weeks after the taught section of the course.
