Years one to three of our International Business Communication course are available to study at our partner SUIBE, located in China. Additionally, we offer Year 3 as a top up at our Preston campus.

On our International Business Course you’ll develop an in-depth understanding of the role of the global leader while enhancing your English language skills.

In a global environment that’s more technologically, politically and socially connected than ever before, business professionals need to understand the global design and organisation of business work. This degree will prepare you for a thriving business career that crosses international boundaries.

You’ll develop your understanding of international business and the skills required to manage successfully in international and intercultural environments. You can shape your studies to suit your career aspirations by taking on optional modules in a business topics such as accounting, finance, human resources, marketing, politics, sales, tourism and trade.

At the same time you’ll enhance your English language skills, taking advantage of the fantastic facilities available at our Worldwise Learning Centre.

What you'll do

  • You’ll have access to industry-standard language learning resources at our Worldwise Learning Centre, including satellite TV, translation suites, computers, self-study audio and video materials, and software such as Rosetta Stone.
  • You’ll regularly get to hear from expert guest speakers from across the Globe who will offer you insights into the importance of Business Communication internationally.
  • You’ll have the opportunity to mix with students and staff from a wide range of cultures and languages, developing the professional language and intercultural skills that are so important for success in our globalised society.

Studying this course in China

At our Preston campus in the UK, we only offer this course as a top up, allowing students to study Year 3 only. The full course is run in partnership with the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (SUIBE). You are able to study years 1, 2 and 3 of this programme at SUIBE, China.

Our partnership with Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (SUIBE) is a long-standing one, beginning over 20 years ago. SUIBE was first established as a Department of Foreign Languages for Foreign Trade. Then, in June 2013, Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade secured Chinese Ministry of Education approval to become the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics.

They offer a broad range of programmes and courses in English for International Business, English Language and Literature, Journalism, Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (CTCFL), French and Japanese. SUIBE have developed their curriculum to reflect the globalised nature of business. They equip graduates with a global vision and high calibre skills in language, culture and communication.

The University’s mission is to advance the strengths of Shanghai and China in international trade and economics. SUIBE is actively engaged in high-level research in fields related to international trade through various research institutes.#
