Green social prescribing

Social prescribing is designed to support people with a wide range of social, emotional or practical needs, and many schemes are focused on improving mental health and physical wellbeing.

The University of Central Lancashire is leading the way in this area, supporting people engaging in nature-based interventions and activities to improve their mental health.

International yoga and mind-body practice conference

To celebrate International Yoga day on 21 June 2024, this event has been organised with the Director of Public Health Dr Sakthi Karunanithi and colleagues from the Social Prescribing Unit at UCLan.
