The University offers an Airport transfer Service for all new overseas UCLan students, arriving into Manchester airport, regardless of which country they have travelled from.
The airport transfer service will run from 8am to 8pm on Thursday 17th January 2019 and Friday 18th January 2019.
If you wish to book a transfer from Manchester Airport to Preston, please be sure you book a flight which arrives within these times.
Please note: It can sometimes take up to 2 hours from your flight landing to you meeting us in the Arrivals lounge. As such if your flight only lands at 6pm or after, you may miss the last transfer of the day. As such it is advisable that you ensure you book a flight which lands as early in the day as possible to account for any delays at Immigration, baggage reclaim and Customs.
UCLan’s Airport Transfer Service is free of charge, but is only available to students. If your parents or family members have travelled to the UK with you, they will need to make their own way to Preston by public transport.
Where possible, your transfer from Manchester Airport to the University will be by Coach, Mini Bus or Car. On any rare occasions where there is no transport available due to flight changes or flight delays, you may be asked to catch a train to Preston accompanied by a member of the UCLan Welcome Team.
Please note: If you bring more than two suitcases (hold luggage) and one piece of hand luggage (carry-on), you may be unable to use the Airport transfer service due to limited luggage space available. You would then have to make your own way to Preston.
