International Clearing

Clearing is a process many universities offer to fill places that are still available on some courses. In the UK, many students will use the process to secure a university place if they:

• Didn’t get the grades they were hoping for
• Want to change their course
• Are applying late to university

Sometimes, universities will reduce their entry requirements during the Clearing period.

International Clearing at UCLan is our way of offering the same opportunity to international students, in line with the release of international qualifications. For international students, you’ll be able to apply through international Clearing from Monday 20 May.

For students in the UK, the Clearing process is linked to UCAS and has been how universities fill places they still have on courses. Students can apply for a course using Clearing if they are not already holding an offer from a university, and the course still has places. Sometimes, universities will reduce their entry requirements during the Clearing period.

To apply through international Clearing, you'll need:

• Your full list of academic qualifications and final grades
• Your English language qualification and grade (if you already have it)
• A current passport for travel (if you don’t have a current passport, you’ll need to make sure you have one before you enrol)

We have accommodation available at all our campuses. Once our Admissions Team have confirmed your place at UCLan, you will be able to make accommodation arrangements.

We guarantee accommodation at Preston Campus for all first year students who apply through Clearing.
