This apprenticeship is designed to develop your skills in building services design, encompassing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and sustainable design elements. 

Full job description

The role includes the following responsibilities: 

  • Work alongside senior engineers to contribute to the design and development of building services systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Utilise Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed drawings and schematics for various building services components.
  • Perform calculations related to load requirements, energy efficiency, and system specifications to support the design process.
  • Attend site visits to gain practical insights into the installation and operation of building services systems.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, reports, and presentations for clients and internal use.
  • You will assess the life cycle of buildings and their component services to minimise resources consumed and the impact on the environment to promote continuous improvement by using market intelligence and best practice
