This role is designed to provide you with a solid foundation in Quantity Surveying principles and practice.

Full job description

The role includes the following responsibilities: 

  • Assist Director and Senior Quantity Surveyor pricing tenders on behalf of our Contractor Clients along with preparing Cost Plans/Budgets for our individual private clients / Architect Clients.
  • Learn to measure and value construction work, including preparing bills of quantities and tender documents.
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements and contribute to cost-effective solutions.
  • Conduct site visits and assist in the assessment of ongoing work as part of a monthly valuation cycle. This will vary between working on behalf of the Client or in some cases the Contractor depending on the project and will result in the preparation of a Contractor payment notice (where working on behalf of a Client) or application for payment (when working on behalf of a Contractor).
  • Learn to negotiate and liaise with suppliers, contractors, and clients on pricing and contractual matters.
  • Utilise industry-standard software and tools to assist in quantity surveying tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quantity surveying activities.

You are required to have a full driving licence and access to own vehicle.
