Full job description

The role includes the following responsibilities:

Assist senior engineers in conducting fire risk assessments, site inspections, and evaluations of fire safety systems.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop fire safety strategies and solutions for a diverse range of projects.
Participate in the design, implementation, and testing of fire protection systems, including detection, suppression, and evacuation systems.
Conduct research and analysis to stay abreast of industry advancements, regulations, and best practices in fire engineering.
Support the preparation of technical reports, drawings, and documentation related to fire safety design and compliance.
Assist in the review of building plans and specifications to ensure compliance with fire safety codes and standards.
Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide professional guidance on fire safety matters.

Essential qualifications

Company and Degree Apprenticeship requirements:

Applicants are required to have:

GCSEs: Maths and English at Grade C/4 or equivalent such as Level 2 functional skills in Maths and English.

Plus, one of the following:

BCC at A2 including Mathematics OR Science subject (Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Science) Biology not accepted
Relevant National Diploma grades DMM
IB 24 Points including Maths or Science at grade 5
Applicants will be required to have a minimum level of proficiency in English Language equivalent to IELTS grade 6 with no subscore lower than 5.5
Applications from individuals with non-standard qualifications, relevant work or life experience and who can demonstrate the ability to cope with and benefit from degree-level studies are welcome
