By the end of the workshops participants will have knowledge of:

NMC standards for practice assessors, preparation for the role of practice assessor, Procedures and governance, Overview of new NMC curriculums and PAD, record keeping with an emphasis on assessments/ progression points, students with additional needs –in relation to assessment, Assessors role in escalation process and supporting practice supervisor, clinical competency. Assessment Theory, feedback and feedforward, types of assessment, failing to fail, communication skills of an assessor, learning contracts and action planning and what’s next- annual update and revalidation.

Entry requirements
