Having started in September 2022, Olawuni Oluwatobi has enjoyed all aspects of the programme whilst also embracing life in Preston.
"I decided to come to UCLan to achieve my full potential on the global stage. My first feelings about UCLan after arriving in the UK were exceptional due to my module leader's guidance and words of assurance given to myself and other international students.
"The most enjoyable part of my programme so far is the international arbitration law and international intellectual property sessions, where the lecturers showcase a depth of knowledge in the area. The most challenging part is at the beginning of the academic year, but things start to change for the better the moment I settled in. My course provided a placement for me after my one-year programme, which is an added advantage. The lecturers are all amazing. I have been able to witness the Moot Court and it was a great experience.
"The ambience of the city is awesome and it is a good place to live and study. "

"I stay in private accommodation and the living conditions have been great.
"The different areas of the gym are all exceptional and the instructors there are also accommodating. In my spare time I go to watch my local football team Preston North End play – I hope one day they make it to the Premier League.
"My first impressions of Preston were great because I was able to meet people in the same boat as myself. Though the weather is new to me because African weather is not as cold as this, I am getting along with it and acclimatising really well. The city of Preston is perfectly located in the north west of England and the institution is just a few minutes from the city centre by foot."
