In addition to teaching professionalism and bystander interventions, Beth has taught some medical law and EDI sessions. She is involved in interviewing prospective students and in OSCE examining.
Beth qualified as a medical doctor and was a consultant psychiatrist in the NHS. She then worked as a medicolegal advisor for a medical defence organisation, before becoming the senior medical case examiner in the Fitness to Practise Directorate of the GMC. This role included managing case of doctors whose fitness to practise was impaired by reason of health.
She has postgraduate qualifications in mental health law and in legal medicine. She is a qualified coach and has a particular coaching interest in stress management.
