You can take a one-year industrial placement during your studies to increase your employability. Most placements are UK-based, but opportunities exist for global placements.

Entry requirements

We will consider your educational achievements, predicted grades, work experience and personal statement. If you don't meet the grades for your chosen course, we will consider you for other programmes.

We know that many factors can influence the grades you achieve in school or college. If your life experience has affected your academic studies, we can take this into account. Use the UCAS Points Calculator below to check whether you are eligible.

  • UCAS: 112 points at A2 including Maths and other Science subject such as Physics, Chemistry, Further Maths
  • BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM in Engineering including Maths units
  • BTEC Diploma: D*D including Maths module
  • Pass Access Course: 104 points including 15 Level 3 credits in Maths
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma: 28P including grade HL5 in Maths
  • GCSEs: Maths and English C/4 or equivalent
  • The majority of applicants are admitted with advanced standing. For entry with advanced standing: HNC in Building Services or an appropriate technological subject with give APL for up to 3 modules (depending on the subject). - HND in Building Services or an appropriate technological subject with give APL for up to 6 modules (depending on the subject)
  • Mature students with relevant work and experiential learning will be considered by interview.
