Awarded on a competitive basis by application to the UCLan China Office, we are delighted to offer six attractive scholarships to students who have completed their prior studies at an institution or organisation within the UCLan G20 grouping.

How is the value received?

Automatic 50% reduction in tuition fee (maximum of 3 years study).

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for one of the China Ambassador scholarships, students must meet the academic and English language criteria as detailed below:

For entry to undergraduate programmes (except MBBS):

  • 3 Year leaving certificate from Senior High School with average grade of 85% or above* or
  • Graded units AA or AAA for SQA HND students or
  • IELTS 6.0 (with no component below 5.5) or equivalent taken within two years prior to your course commencement date
  • AND receipt of a satisfactory application form (see below)
  • AND satisfactory Interview** with our China office

For entry to postgraduate taught programmes:

  • 4 year bachelor degree with minimum average of 80% or above* or
  • IELTS 6.5 (with no component below 6.0) or equivalent taken within two years prior to your course commencement date
  • AND receipt of a satisfactory application form (see below)
  • AND satisfactory Interview** with our China office

Applicants must hold an offer to study with us on an undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme for 2022/23 entry.

Excludes the following programmes:

Distance learning | Blended learning | Postgraduate research | Pre-sessional English language | Professional placements | Work based learning | MBBS.

Students in receipt of the China Ambassador Scholarship would not be eligible for any other scholarship. 

How to apply

If you meet the above criteria, you are then eligible to submit an application for one of our China Ambassador Scholars. For an application form please contact our China Office Team.

The China Office will start to review applications from 1 June, with a final closing date of 31 August 2022. Incomplete applications will not be acknowledged nor considered for a scholarship. The decision of the Scholarship Panel is final.
