Deep Models for Objects Real-Time Characterization and Manipulation

The main objective of this project is to develop methods for the estimation of characteristics of everyday objects from images/videos. The characteristics include the objects’ 3D pose, shape, material, structure, stability, weight, and surface finish. The estimation algorithms are to be efficient, i.e. system should be able to operate in real-time and without access to an explicit 3D model of the target object.
