Subject Areas: Adult Nursing – Pre Registration

My clinical background is in Public Health, gaining valuable knowledge and skills within a variety of roles including senior practice nurse within the armed forces, nurse lead for sexual health services, and named nurse in substance misuse for vulnerable children and young people.  Following the successful completion of the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse role, I supported children and families as a school nurse and a health visitor, and the latter few years became a community practice teacher to facilitate student SCPHNs to transfer theory into practice as SNs and HVs. I became a lecture in December 2016 and I am enthused to be able to facilitate and support student nurses to develop their knowledge and skills to become the next competent generation of nurses.
