Mark Edwards is a Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing and teaches on the pre-registration nursing course. Mark has worked in a variety of settings including community, forensic, acute and GP settings.

He has a keen interest in public health and really enjoys the privileged position of being able to influence tomorrows nurses.

Full Profile

Mark completed his mental health nursing at UCLan, his experience was a pleasurable one and certainly steered his decision to return as a lecturer.

Prior to this Mark worked in the wellbeing service here at UCLan, he was integral with delivering and implementing new approaches to help students manage their mental health.  These include the development of an exercise and educational group.

He uses a lifestyle 360-degree approach to health.  He has a keen interest in evidence-based practice and has a particular passion for nature, exercise, relaxation and diet on overall good heath  

Mark is also a qualified health visitor and non-medical prescriber.  He has a wealth of experience working with families and delivered training to staff and students on peri- natal mental health
