Lindsay is a registered nurse (adult branch) having worked in the NHS for many years gaining a wide range of experience in the areas of anaesthesia and recovery across a capacious client base. Lindsay has worked closely with local Health Care trusts as well as the British Army in offering courses in areas such as health and social care and the Foundation Degree in sport, health and fitness.

Lindsay has worked at the University of Central Lancashire for seven years and as a Senior Lecturer she works closely with students ensuring they have gained the relevant skills, experience and knowledge to not only to pass their specific course, but enter the graduate world. Lindsay is the Course Leader for the BSc(Hons) Health and Social Care top-up degree and has supported and led in many other academic fields such as Health and Social Care, Assistant Practitioners, Sport, Health and Fitness, Acute Nursing Care and Nursing Practice as well as skills development through Work Based Learning.
