Linda is a lecturer within the School of Law and Social Science and a qualified solicitor with a background in Defendant Litigation.
Linda is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court and member of the Law Society of England and Wales and the Association of Law Teachers.

Linda graduated from Nottingham Trent University with an honours degree in Law and completed her Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Central Lancashire. She was admitted as a solicitor in 1999. Prior to joining the Law School in 2017, Linda worked for DWF LLP in-house at RSA Insurance plc for 15 years. Linda’s areas pf expertise include Litigation (specialising in personal injury), Advocacy, Contract, Tort and Professional Conduct. She is Year 1 Deputy Course leader on the LLB degree, Module lead for Professional Conduct on the Legal Practice Course and also delivers the Professional Skills Course. Linda also supervises within the pro bono Law Clinic here at the School of Law and Social Science.
Since joining the Law School in 2017, Linda has developed a keen interest in law and emerging technology. She organised a national conference ‘Law & Emerging Technology’ in June 2018. Linda also developed and created an interactive learning experience ‘Legally Bound.’ Combining technology and critical thinking, Legally Bound is a legally themed ‘escape room’ experience. Linda is also part of the Legal Technology & Employability working groups. Her research interests include law and emerging technologies.
