Jayne is a lecturer in the Children’s Pre Reg Nursing team. She has a clinical background as a Registered Children’s Nurse and Specialist Community Public Health Nurse. With over 20 years of NHS nursing experience Jayne joined UCLan in July 2017.

Full Profile

Jayne qualified as a Registered Nurse (Child) in 1995 and began her career in general Children’s Nursing at Royal Bolton Hospital. In 2003 she made the transition from acute care to community nursing and completed the BSc (Hons) Specialist Community Public Health Nursing / School Nursing at UCLan.

 In 2011, Jayne returned to UCLan to undertake a Post Graduate Certificate in Practice Teaching to compliment her role as a Community Practice Teacher. As teaching and learning have always been a passion for Jayne, taking the step into academic life seemed the natural progression, following a happy and fulfilling career in nursing.
