Gareth Shadwell is a Senior Demonstrator for the Department of Sport, Exercise & Nutritional Sciences (SENS). His main responsibilities involve the management and maintenance the SENS labs which include a Biomechanics lab, Physiology lab, Nutrition & Health lab and Strength & Conditioning lab.
Gareth runs all of labs (Biomechanics, Physiology, Strength & Conditioning and Nutrition & Health) within the SENS department within the school of Sport and Wellbeing. He supports teaching across all undergraduate and postgraduate practical sessions within the department with lab set up and equipment demonstrations. Gareth’s main responsibility is to manage the lab equipment and bookings whilst supporting the students/staff working in the labs. Gareth has an interest on Human & Equine biomechanics and has experience in conducting research in both of these areas. Gareth Supports academic staff with open/applicant days along with public engagement events run by the university.
