Gareth Shadwell is a Senior Demonstrator for the Department of Sport, Exercise & Nutritional Sciences (SENS). His main responsibilities involve the management and maintenance the SENS labs which include a Biomechanics lab, Physiology lab, Nutrition & Health lab and Strength & Conditioning lab.
Gareth maintains all of the labs (Biomechanics, Physiology, Strength & Conditioning and Nutrition & Health) within the department of Sport, Exercise & Nutritional Sciences (SENS). He supports teaching across all undergraduate and postgraduate practical sessions within the department; mainly with lab set up and equipment demonstrations. Gareth’s main responsibility is to manage the lab equipment and bookings whilst supporting the students/staff working within the labs. Gareth has an interest in Human & Equine biomechanics and has experience in conducting research in both of these areas. Gareth supports academic staff with open/applicant days along with public engagement events run by the University.
