Emma Ball’s academic background is derived from a diverse range of disciplines. Her first degree is from University of Leeds in Linguistics and Phonetics, Master’s degree in Social Work from UCLan and Master’s Degree in Psychology also from UCLan. Emma is research active as a research assistant within Lancashire School of Business and Enterprise.
Emma is research active in the Enterprising Women’s Group and iROWE (Institute of Research into Organisations, Work and Employment)
Emma’s current position is Research Assistant for iROWE (Institute for Research in Work, Organisations and Employment). Her current research projects include exploring precarious work in creative industries, coworking and employee wellbeing. iROWE regularly organise seminars and networking events. These events facilitate collaborative opportunities for practitioners and academics to explore contemporary areas for research within work and employment.
