Catherine is an early career researcher, who is currently working as a Senior Research Assistant in the Stroke Research Team while completing her PhD into the body image experiences of younger stroke survivors.
After gaining her B.Sc. (Hons) in Psychology from Lancaster University in 2017, Catherine then achieved a Distinction in her M.Sc. in Health Psychology at UCLan. Catherine currently works in the Stroke Research Team at UCLan, with the main focus of her role being to support more senior staff in the development of funding bids. Catherine largely supports a project surrounding end of life care in stroke, but has also helped to develop teaching materials for stroke modules. She has also provided conference and administrative support for multiple projects, including peer support in the Macular Society, and the EQ-5D-5L health status questionnaire.
In 2019, Catherine also began studying for her PhD at UCLan, looking into the body image experiences of younger stroke survivors.
Catherine is currently conducting her MPhil/PhD project into the body image experiences of younger stroke survivors.
