University set to welcome visitors on Saturday 16 October
The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) will host its first physical Open Day in almost two years due to the pandemic.
Visitors will be welcomed to the University’s Preston Campus on Saturday 16 October between 9.00am – 3.00pm. It is the first time since before the outbreak of Covid-19 that potential students will be able to take a physical tour of the campus and speak to subject tutors in person, face-to-face.
Attendees will see UCLan’s brand new £60 million Student Centre and University Square, which sits at the heart of campus and is the central hub of all student support services.
"This Open Day presents a perfect opportunity to get a real feel for the University, explore our outstanding facilities and talk to academic staff. "
— UCLan spokesperson
A University Spokesperson said: “We’re really excited to once again open our doors to potential new students and their guests.
“This Open Day presents a perfect opportunity to get a real feel for the University, explore our outstanding facilities and talk to academic staff. There is also the option to look at our accommodation and seek additional advice on personal statements, finance and other related issues.
“Safety is of course at the forefront of everything, and we continue to monitor government guidelines to ensure the campus remains Covid secure.
“We’re encouraging everyone who registers for The Open Day to take a lateral flow test before they arrive and wear a face covering in crowded indoor spaces so we can keep everyone safe.”
To register for the Open Day and for more information visit the UCLan Open Day webpages. Another physical Open Day on the Preston Campus will take place on Saturday 20 November 9.00am – 3.00pm.
