Information evening to showcase highways and Student Centre project

18 June 2019

Projects are key elements of University’s £200 million Masterplan

With work starting on the University of Central Lancashire’s (UCLan) highways project, the team behind the Masterplan will be hosting an information evening on June 26.

The session which will run from 6.00pm to 8.00pm will offer attendees the chance to learn about how the highways project will be delivered and how the circa £60 million Student Centre will be built.

Held at UCLan’s Harrington building, representatives from Lancashire County Council, Balfour Beatty and Bowmer + Kirkland will also be on hand to answer any questions.

"We’re keen that the community understands and sees how important these projects are not just to the University but to Preston and how they will act as catalysts for further regeneration of the City."

Michael Ahern, UCLan’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “We’re keen that the community understands and sees how important these projects are not just to the University but to Preston and how they will act as catalysts for further regeneration of the City.

“The developments have been in the planning for a significant amount of time and through in-depth consultation we have taken on board feedback and created a scheme that Preston can be proud of.

“It’s vital to us as an organisation that our stakeholders are fully aware of what is in progress and I would like people to come along and learn more about how these vital elements of the Masterplan will come to fruition.”

The information evening will be held at Harrington Lecture Theatre, Harrington Building, Adelphi Street, PR1 7QS. To register your interest, please contact the Masterplan Team at UCLanMasterplan@uclan.ac.uk. Visitors can park for free on any UCLan car park.
