The audience of more than 100 cricket fans were laughing throughout as Henry Blofeld, a writer and broadcaster whose voice is instantly recognisable to millions of sport enthusiasts across the globe, regaled the audience with tales from his illustrious career.
The commentator recently hung up his BBC Test Match Special microphone after nearly 50 years in the job and he was speaking about stories which appear in his fascinating new autobiography called Over and Out.
Henry was interviewed by BBC Radio Lancashire’s John Gillmore and he also took questions from the audience. The cricket fans also received a signed copy of his new book and had their photograph taken with the legend of the sport.
