Ceramics Workshop

Within our ceramics facilities we have a number of work spaces for student use.

We have a throwing area where there are electric wheels available to students. We also have facilities for the preparation and processing of clay.

Availability

9.00 am to 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm (weekdays). The space is available to use outside of these times by appointment.

Please note that this facility is used for scheduled teaching activities. This facility is available for authorised students to use outside of these times for individual study purposes.

Use of this facility by others is by special arrangement which is usually attained by the provision of a demonstrable rationale for the use of the resources contained within this facility that directly supports their course of study. This may require a referral from an academic tutor. Subsequently, if approved, you may be required to attend a facility induction run by technical staff.

Where possible and with prior arrangement, staff will work flexibly during the working day to accommodate specific support requirements which do not fit into the specified timetable.
