Introduction to Chronic Oedema Management

Open to a multi-professional cohort, this module provides students with both a balance and insight to their own profession and that of other members of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team, focusing on chronic oedema. It provides a coherent programme of study relevant to the professional development of health care practitioners by developing students practice through increased understanding of current and specialist knowledge.

Students will critically apply their understanding of theory to practice, enhancing their professional competence and personal development. Practical skills are taught which are underpinned by evidence in a suite of clinical skill laboratories. Practice development is supported by an experienced mentor who will work locally with and support the student to develop the practical skills required.

Students who successful complete this double module will be key-workers in chronic oedema management for mild to moderate conditions.
