"Receiving the Ashinaga Africa Initiative scholarship brought a light of hope. It showed me that regardless of what is going on with the pandemic, there are still opportunities and possibilities for me to study BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering (Foundation Year) and achieve my dreams.
"For many international students coming to the UK, I would say that the first thing that comes into our minds is safety so that’s very important.
"When I got here, I found this place to be one of the safest places, there are security guards and police officers all over the place, making sure that we are safe. It’s really a safe place and this is one of the things I like about Preston.
"To those thinking about applying for this scholarship, I’d say just apply, this is the opportunity that you don’t want to miss."
