Katrina was awarded her PhD in 2022. The thesis explores the legal regulation of youth produced sexual imagery (also known as sexting). She has written about this topic for The Conversation and has worked with online safety organisations to produce guidance to school teaching staff on how to navigate these issues.
Katrina joined us as a lecturer in 2022. Prior to joining us, Katrina worked at the University of Liverpool where she taught across various LLB modules. She was also an active member of the University's European Children's Rights Unit for whom she produced a briefing paper on keeping children safe online during the Covid-19 pandemic. She has spoken at various conferences on a variety of research topics including her doctoral research, child sexual exploitation and abuse, and the ethics around child participation in research.
